I get asked lots of questions about my caricatures. Here are some of the questions I get asked the most. If your question is not listed below just call or email me and I will get back to you with an answer!
What is a caricature?
A caricature is essentially a portrait which exaggerates the key features of a person. It is a humorous portrait that maintains the person’s recognisability.
How long does it take to do a caricature?
I can draw a face in 4 to 5 minutes. That’s about 10 to 15 caricatures a hour!
Have you drawn anyone famous?
Yes, I have done live drawings of some famous faces – including AFL Players like Shane Crawford. I have been on TV. I even drew Adele at a private function in Portsea in 2017.
FAQs

Where are you based?
I am based in Melbourne and will travel anywhere in Greater Melbourne, the rest of Victoria, as well as interstate.
What events do you do your caricatures for?
I do caricatures for lots of different events. These include Weddings, Birthday Parties, Christmas Parties, Bar Mitzvahs, Lunar New Year Celebrations, Corporate Events, Family Days, Graduation Parties, Trade Shows, Conferences, Tertiary Events and many more!
Is there a minimum booking time?
Yes, there’s usually a minimum of 2 hours. Longer sessions can be arranged depending on the type of event and number of guests.
What time do you arrive?
This depends on the event, but I usually arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. This way, I can set up and be ready to start creating caricatures for your guests.
What will you wear?
It depends on the event. I usually dress casually for parties. Hoewever, for weddings and other special events, I opt for something a bit more formal.
How far in advance should I book for your caricature services?
To secure your date, especially during peak Christmas and wedding seasons, it’s best to book as soon as possible. However, last minute bookings can be accommodated if I have availability.
How do I go about hiring you?
Just give me a call on 0402 303 615 or send an email and I will get back to you as quick as I can.

Do you draw on paper or digitally?
I do both! Paper caricatures are much quicker and therefore more people will be drawn. Best for weddings, parties and any event where speed and volume are important. Digital ones are slower and more suitable for tech events and trade shows where marketing a specific product or service is the main focus.
How much do you charge?
It depends on a few different factors, including the length of time and type of event.

I use high quality artist materials (permanent markers, pastels and oil based charcoal sticks) along with A4 or A3 paper to suit your particular event.
Can you do couple caricatures?
Yes I do couple caricatures. In fact, I receive many requests for couple caricatures – especially at weddings!
I am planning a big event and need more than one caricature artist. Can you organise this?
This is no problem! I work with a number of caricature artists and can organise this for you too.
Do you draw everyone at an event?
Usually I don’t. Not everyone wants to get a caricature. However, everyone is entertained as it is very enjoyable to watch the caricatures being drawn – especially as I interact with my audience to keep things lively!
