Live Caricatures at the GWM ORA Fun Station in Collingwood
GWM Australia transformed a disused service station in Collingwood into the ORA Fun Station, a Euro summer inspired pop up designed to showcase the GWM ORA 5 SUV in a completely different setting. Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, the former petrol station was given makeover with striped umbrellas, terracotta tones, Italian style food, barista made coffee and a European summer soundtrack – quite the achievement given it was during Melbourne’s winter!
I was delighted to be invited to provide live caricature entertainment at the event, drawing guests and creating personalised caricatures for them to take home. I also had the chance to create custom “car icatures”, which was a fun way to connect the entertainment with the GWM ORA brand. I even got the chance to sit behind the wheel of one of the GWM models on display.
What made the event particularly unique was that three GWM ORA 5 SUVs powered the experience using Vehicle to Load (V2L) technology. From the coffee machine and food truck to the DJ booth, lighting and speakers, the cars supplied the electricity for the event.
It was a fantastic opportunity to provide live caricature entertainment for GWM and be part of such a creative and memorable brand activation in Collingwood.
