I’ve been doing live caricatures for a long time, including at weddings, so I know how to get the party going. Some guests might be a bit shy to get their caricature done. But all it takes is a nod and smile from me, and one adventurous couple gets things started.
Once I start drawing that first couple, a little crowd starts to form. Some people are happy just watching, while others can’t wait and start lining up for their turn. There’s so much chatter and laughter, especially when I reveal each caricature. It’s amazing how guests who don’t even know each other start mingling. As a result the whole room comes alive with excitement.
